We built Seatsie for teachers. Your data should be treated the way you'd want a teacher tool to treat it: held close, kept private to you, and never used for anything else.

What we store

If you don't sign in, nothing leaves your browser. Your students, classroom layout, and seating plans live on this device only. We never see them.

If you sign in, your email and the classroom versions you save are stored on our cloud database so they sync across your devices. Each account's data is isolated — no other Seatsie user can see what you've saved.

What we recommend

Use first names, initials, or nicknames for students rather than full names. This way you stay in full control of any honest assessment notes (behavioural levels, who needs to sit apart, who works well together) without those notes being tied to identifiable students. If you ever print, share a screen, or open Seatsie next to a colleague, your notes stay useful to you but meaningless to anyone else.

What we don't do

  • We don't sell your data.
  • We don't share it with anyone, ever, beyond the infrastructure and analytics providers who run Seatsie (Supabase, Vercel, Cloudflare, and Google Analytics).
  • We don't show ads on Seatsie.

Deleting your data

Sign in → Save / Load tab → delete individual versions any time. Or email seatsie.ai@gmail.com and we'll wipe your account.

Coming for schools

We're building an Enterprise edition that integrates with existing school information systems (Compass, Sentral, Daymap, and others). Full student details get pulled securely from your school's own data — never re-entered into Seatsie — and the deployment runs inside your school's privacy boundary.

If your school is interested in early access, email seatsie.ai@gmail.com.
